Replaces older maps with the latest maps on PCM 2.1 units. The maps have an updated database with more points of interest, with more road covered. As a result, considerably more tourist information (hotels, restaurants, parking garages/lots, services stations, etc.) is provided. Comes with the latest maps available from Porsche.

  

Language: The maps will be shown in the same language your PCM is set up.

 

This update includes new maps equipped with DVD navigation that provide the very latest in road updates, routing and location changes. New and expanded coverage in major cities and metropolitan markets with additional points of interest are featured. The update also includes a greater accuracy of arrival time prediction.

Special Note: If your car was built on 2005 or 2006, read this, if it was produced on 2007 or 2008 then this does not apply to your car: The new navigation DVD(s) can only be used with software version "B" in PCM 2.1. If "A" software is present, you will need to upgrade your PCM firmware first (affects 2005 cars only). Not sure which software you have? It's easy to check. While the car is running, press "MAIN" and "TRIP" at the same time. A new screen will be displayed, with the rotorary knob select the option "PCM". The version will be displayed. The level must be "05024xxx" or higher. If it's lower, then you will also need the PCM Firmware update Kit in order to make your car compatible with the map upgrade.

Para todos los Porsche con navegador PCM 2.1: Boxster, Cayman, 911 Carrera & 911 Targa 4, 911 Turbo, 911 GT2, 911 GT3, Cayenne con PORSCHE PCM 2.1 DVD . El DVD no funcionará con los sistemas PCM 2 (CD) o PCM 3 (disco duro). Si tiene cualquier tipo de duda al respecto, consultenos.
 
ATENCIÓN: El nuevo mapa de navegación puede ser usado únicamente con la versión de software "B" en el PCM 2.1. Si su versión de software es "A", necesitarás actualizar el firmware the tu PCM primero (afecta sólo  a vehículos de 2005). ¿No estás seguro de qué versión tiene tu coche? Es fácil de comprobar.     Just received the product and it works like a charm. As I am in located in the USA, the mail is a little slower than in Europe, so my suggestion is to pay the extra for expedited delivery. It is worth it and I certainly will do it next time. Thanks again for your kind responses to my concerns.

    After getting support from the Climarepair team, I finally got to inserte the DVD in the right drive (notice this DVD is inserted in a separate DVD drive, located in the trunk or under the seat). ¡Superb!
